Recording Audio
Today Millie and I decided that we wanted to add another layer of sound to our opening scene as what we had created so far sounded a bit basic. We went into the studio where we usually film and recorded myself speaking. Its very quiet in the studio as the whole room is soundproofed meaning that no background noise could be heard when we were recording. We recorded the audio on a Canon 700D because it was the easiest way. We kept the lens cap over the lens so all that was picked up was audio.
Audio Script
A young white male has been spotted carrying out suspicious activity in the Yorkshire region.
After the disappearance of three young girls earlier on last week,
Yorkshire Police are now asking for anyone who has any information or intelligence to come forward.
This short piece of audio has really improved the overall sound of the opening scene. Layering different sounds makes the overall sound much more impressive and professional.

Titles Overview
The first title to appear is the production company. The name of the company will appear in large block writing in the center of the screen and flicker in a shadow kind of way in the top left corner.
A.M PICTURES PRESENTS
The titles above will then leave the screen and the ones below will appear.
MARVELOUS MOVIES
The next two titles will appear in various places on the screen one after the other. These are in a smaller font and aren't central.
A FILM BY MILLIE FORD
SCREENPLAY BY ABI GLYNN
The next title will then appear in red and black text.
IN ASSOCIATION WITH MISFIT PRODUCTIONS
The next few titles are either who is starring in the film as in actors and actresses or producers.
STARRING JOHNNY BAILEY
AMY SLOAN
PRODUCED BY DAVID AVERY
The title of the film will then appear in large block writing and cover the majority of the screen. This is the biggest title out of all of them for the reason that it is the important title of the film.
CUTS
The director then briefly appears.

Plot
The final idea Millie and I came up with was this. A male character, in his late teens, grows an obsession with hair. He is utterly obsessed and addicted to the smell, texture and look of it and does anything to get his hands on as much of it as he possibly can. In our opening scene we want to capture the character's sheer obsession with hair and display him in different situations obsessing over it. As we are only creating an opening scene we didn't want to put in too much detail and 'give too much away'.

Free Period Work
Today I had free periods all afternoon so I got some of my blog done. I completed two Prezi presentations. One was character profiles for the people participating in my video and another was of the narrative of my opening scene. Prezi presentations are really interesting ways in which I can display basic information. I also completed a blog post on the props I will be using throughout the construction of my opening scene, I added images to this.
Millie and I also had a discussion about our opening scene and its narrative. As until this point our ideas had been rather brief, we verbally brainstormed and came up with a more detailed narrative. This is what I blogged today.
I also completed a post on the costumes the characters will be wearing. I displayed this by finding similar garments on the online store ASOS and inserted images and descriptions into a blog post.

Free Period Extra Work
Today I spent the afternoon adding in pictures and extra information into my preliminary task blog posts. I added in pictures of the studio into the brief filming post I had already completed, and also added individual pictures of the tripod I used and lighting used.
I was also able to insert the image of my completed storyboard for my preliminary task which displays how I planned the short video in a frame by frame fashion. The storyboard gives a visual plan of what I was aiming for in my finished video.
I also embedded my final video instead of just posting a URL.
